References and Guarantors

Once the tenancy has been agreed upon and we are happy that the tenants will prove to be suitable we can arrange for you to meet with them, if you wish. After which point we will start the referencing procedure. Viewings on the property will continue during this time in the event that the tenants do not pass the referencing procedure. We want to ensure to minimise any loss as a result in wasting any time in trying to find alternative tenants.

Tenants are required to complete a comprehensive reference form, where they will have to give employment details and previous landlord details. The information given will allow the referencing company to carry out a credit check and to obtain suitable references.

In the case of a company being the tenant, a company search will be carried out, which will also include trade references. In certain circumstances a guarantor will be required and appropriate checks will be made.

On receipt of satisfactory references and credit checks, we will receive written documentation from the reference company that the tenant is acceptable for the proposed tenancy.
